I was only ten when I got my first Harry Potter book, and it was like nothing I had ever read before. I was mesmerized by the world of Hogwarts, where anything seemed possible. It inspired me to write stories of my own. It was only a year or two later when a friend saw me reading the book and asked if I had watched the movie. I was shocked and outraged that I didn't even know there were movies! That same day, I begged my mom to buy me a CD of the first movie. Watching that movie blew my mind away - the world of Hogwarts was even more vivid than I could have ever imagined, and yet it felt much like the world I live in. It was like a eureka moment for me when I realized the power of building fantastical worlds that people could relate to.

The world of Harry Potter made me want to seek out stories in the world I lived in - stories waiting to be told in the people I met, the places I visited, and the objects I saw. I became captivated by the art of storytelling, the ability to capture the essence of people, places, and objects in a way that would transport others to a world beyond their own. Simply writing these stories wasn't good enough for me though, I wanted to bring worlds to life, to create a visual representation of what made each of these stories and worlds unique. However, making movies was a bit beyond my purview, so as I looked for inspiration, it came from unlikely sources such as Supandi and Chacha Choudhary with Spiderman making the rounds once in a while. Together they walked me down the path of design, one comic at a time.

Eventually, my own Hogwarts letter (at least that's what it felt like) came from the Srishti School of Design. Here, I got the chance to hone my technical skills as a visual designer and use my passion for storytelling to infuse my work with life and meaning. Whether it's brand strategy, magazine spreads, articles, packaging, or logos, my goal is to create experiences that are not just aesthetically pleasing but also emotionally impactful. I want to inspire people to see the impossible as possible.
