Beyond the blues - Book Cover Design
The fictitious book cover I designed for Shikha Tandon's story aims to pay tribute to her remarkable journey as a swimmer. Through the cover, readers can catch a glimpse of two significant milestones in her life.
To capture the essence of Shikha's life, I chose a palette of calming shades of blue. Given the amount of time she spent submerged in blue waters, it seemed fitting to use this colour that invokes a sense of serenity and echoes her spirit. The title introduces a contrast, bringing a new form of "Blue" - one that signifies melancholy and sadness. The contrast brought out through colours was intended to convey the highs and lows of Shikha's life in a visually compelling manner.
Overall, I aimed to create a cover that not only honours Shikha's achievements but also captures the essence of her journey
